Dr. Diana Roman, MD
Diana Roman is an experienced physician providing high-quality and compassionate care since 2015. In addition to primary care, she offers patient education and nutrition counseling and conducts initial medical evaluations following motor vehicle accidents.
Prior to joining the Osprey PolyClinic, Dr. Roman served as an outpatient internal medicine physician at VIP CARE in Sarasota, FL, delivering patient-centered medical care. She also worked as a primary care physician at Chen Med in Bradenton, FL, from June 2018 to January 2021, where she focused on providing efficient and high-quality care.
Dr. Roman’s educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine in Internal Medicine Residency from the University of Miami/JFK Medical GME, which she completed in June 2018. She earned her Doctor of Medicine and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in May 2015. Dr. Roman also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Florida International University and an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Dr. Roman is board-certified in Internal Medicine and is fluent in Spanish. Her skills and multilingual abilities contribute to her effective communication and excellent patient care.
Dr. Josephine Olsen, DO
Dr. Josephine Olsen is a dedicated and experienced osteopathic physician specializing in family medicine. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima, WA, in May 2012, and her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA, in May 2007.
Most recently Dr. Olsen practiced at Bluestone Physician Services, where she provided geriatric primary care since August 2020. She built strong relationships with residents, families and staff at assisted living, independent living, and memory care facilities across Southwest Florida.
Her previous roles include serving as the Medical Director of Flight Medicine at Joint Base San Antonio – Randolph, TX, where she led healthcare improvement initiatives and compliance inspections, and performed various medical procedures. Dr. Olsen also served as a physician in flight and family medicine at Curaçao Forward Operating Location and in family medicine at Tyndall Air Force Base, FL, and Joint Base San Antonio – Randolph, TX.
Dr. Olsen completed her residency in family medicine at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, where she focused on pain management and developed a guide to weaning patients off controlled substances. She is certified in various life support and medical forensics examinations and has received numerous awards, including the Air Force Commendation Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Olsen is actively involved in community service, including coaching youth soccer and assisting with the Boy Scouts. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.
Her interests include biking, hiking, and cooking. Dr. Olsen’s extensive experience and dedication to patient care make her a highly respected physician in her field.
Dr. Lawrence Weinstein, MD
Dr. Weinstein is an accomplished physician executive with more than 25 years’ experience in managed behavioral healthcare. In addition to his extensive senior leadership background, Dr. Weinstein delved into private practice, where he offered individual and group diagnostic psychotherapeutic services, family therapy, and addiction psychiatry.
Dr. Weinstein has always been fascinated by the mysteries of the mind and unique approaches used in resolving patient challenges. His career begin in psychoanalysis, allowing him to develop a deeper appreciation and understanding for the unconscious mind. This work led him to in-depth research into psychoneuroimmunology. It was this research into how the brain impacts the immune system and the connection of the brain to the rest of the body that solidified his belief in the mind-body connection and fueled his interest in providing a holistic approach to illness and treatment.
Throughout his career Dr. Weinstein set the standard for clinical and operational excellence, physician management, and driving technology solutions that support clinical innovation.
Dr. Weinstein's quest for knowledge is not limited to his time at work. In his spare time he enjoys learning about different cultures, exploring new places and traveling around the world. His other passions include downhill skiing and boating. Being in the mountains or on the water is the best way for him to recharge and refocus
Dr. Calvin H. Fischer, DO
Dr. Fischer is a seasoned family physician. Recently in practice with Amita Health Medical Group in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Dr. Fischer held the esteemed position of President of the Medical Staff at Saint Alexius Medical Center where he led the Birth Project, a program designed to assist parents and children throughout the pregnancy and birth journey.
Over the course of his career Dr. Fisher has committed himself to making medical care safer for patients. He spearheaded the formation of the Medical Staff Quality Committee, which regularly reviewed physician conduct and provided educational services to help ensure patients were getting the highest quality of care possible. He also served on the Quality Control team for Alexian Brothers, monitoring the quality of care for the hospital system.
Dr. Fischer is a 1969 graduate of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine of Midwestern University, and he completed his internship at Detroit Osteopathic Hospital. Having practiced medicine for over five decades, Dr. Fischer is board certified in family medicine by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS), an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages and genders, addressing all parts of the body.
Continuously advancing his credentials, Dr. Fischer is an active member of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
When not engaged in the practice of medicine, Dr. Fischer takes pleasure in pursuing his hobbies, which include fishing and golfing, and he cherishes quality time with his family.
